What are your fees?
45-minute individual therapy session: $230
60-minute individual therapy session: $300
70-minute couples therapy session: $360*
I keep a small number of sliding-scale spots for clients who can’t afford my standard fees. If cost is a barrier, please ask. If I don’t have an opening, I’m glad to help you find other options.
*Note: As part of couples counseling, after the initial couples session I meet with each partner for an individual 60-minute session.
Do you take insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. Many clients are able to get partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits.
Check with your insurance company by asking these questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- What is the out-of-network coverage amount per session for:
- Individual 45-minute session (CPT code 90834)
- Individual 60-minute session (CPT code 90837)
- Couples session, which is billed as family therapy (CPT code 90847)
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What paperwork do you require?
I can provide a monthly superbill — an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurer.
Do you meet in person or virtually?
Both. My office is in Dupont Circle, a short (6- to 12-minute) walk from the Dupont Circle Metro. I also see clients virtually throughout DC.
How do I get started?
Email or call me and we can take it from there. Some people want a quick answer to a question before deciding; others want to schedule right away. Either is fine.
We can start with a free 20-minute video or phone consultation, or you can book a first session directly.
What is a Good Faith Estimate? Can I get one?
I believe you should know what care costs before you commit to it, without having to ask twice. Billing transparency is part of how I practice.
Under the No Surprises Act, you’re entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. I’m glad to provide one — just ask.
Have a question that isn’t answered here? Just email or call.
